Dr. Smruthi V is a dedicated academician and skilled physiologist with a strong background in medical education and research. She completed her MBBS from K.S. Hegde Medical Academy and went on to pursue her MD in Physiology from SDM College of Medical Sciences, Dharwad.
She has previously served at Srinivas Medical College, Mangalore, where she contributed significantly to both undergraduate teaching and departmental development. With a specialization in Physiology, Dr. Smruthi has developed a keen academic interest in Cardiovascular and Neurophysiology, areas in which she continues to inspire both students and peers.
Currently serving as the Professor and Head of the Department of Physiology, Dr. Smruthi plays a pivotal role in shaping the foundational understanding of physiology among medical students. Her teaching is marked by clarity, scientific rigor, and a passion for integrating theoretical concepts with clinical relevance.
With her leadership and expertise, the department continues to uphold high standards in both academic and research excellence.
