(Prof.)Dr. P.V. Narayanan is a retired Principal of Government Medical College, Manjeri, where he played a pivotal role in shaping academic standards and institutional development. Prior to this, Dr. Narayanan served at Government Medical College, Calicut, one of the leading medical institutions in the state where he held several key positions. From 2006 to 2013, he also served as the Vice Principal of Government Medical College, Calicut. He was the Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacology from 1997 to 2012, leading the department with a strong emphasis on academic rigor, ethical research, and clinical relevance. He joined Malabar Medical College & Research Centre on 4th May 2016 and currently serves as the Principal of the institution.
Dr. Narayanan holds both his MBBS and MD in Pharmacology from Government Medical College, Kozhikode, where he dedicated the majority of his professional life. Throughout his tenure, he played a pivotal role in enhancing medical education and contributing to pharmacological research, gaining deep respect as a mentor, teacher, and leader.
With his vast academic and administrative experience, Dr. Narayanan provides strategic leadership that continues to shape the academic and institutional framework of MMCH & RC. His commitment to upholding excellence in medical education and healthcare delivery serves as an inspiration to both faculty and students, ensuring that the college continues to progress as a center of quality education and compassionate care.
