Dr. Ashalatha P. R. joined our institution as Professor in the Department of Anatomy on 12th June 2023. She brings with her a wealth of academic experience and a deep commitment to foundational medical education.
She completed both her MBBS and MS in Anatomy from Government Medical College, Kozhikode — one of the premier medical institutions in Kerala. Prior to joining our institution, she served at Government Medical College, Kozhikode, where she contributed significantly to teaching and departmental development.
Currently serving as the Professor and Head of the Department of Anatomy, Dr. Ashalatha is known for her structured and student-centric approach to teaching. She has a special academic interest in Human Cytogenetics, and encourages research-oriented learning among undergraduate students.
Under her leadership, the department continues to emphasize the integration of classical anatomical teaching with modern scientific approaches, including cadaveric dissection, histology, and clinical correlations — shaping the next generation of medical professionals with a strong scientific foundation.
