WORLD ANATOMY DAY 2026
The Department of Anatomy, Malabar Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Ulliyeri, Kozhikode,
organised a programme to commemorate World Anatomy Day on Thursday, 15 October 2026, from 10:15
a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Sapphire Hall, Academic Block. The programme aimed to highlight the importance of
anatomy in medical education, clinical practice, diagnostic procedures, and patient care. It also provided a
platform for faculty members and students to reflect on the relevance of anatomical knowledge in modern
medicine.
Programme Highlights
The celebration focused on understanding why anatomy matters and how it contributes to the development of
competent healthcare professionals. The programme included a panel discussion and a poster competition,
encouraging academic interaction, critical thinking, and creative expression among medical students.
