Dr. Deeshma is a passionate and accomplished academician known for her vibrant personality and active involvement in extracurricular activities. With a strong commitment to medical education and student development, she has consistently contributed to both academic and co-curricular spheres throughout her career.
She completed her MBBS from D. Y. Patil Medical College, Kolhapur in 1999, and later pursued her MD in Pathology from Manipal Academy of Higher Education in 2008. Her solid academic foundation and keen interest in pathology have shaped her into a dedicated educator and clinician.
Dr. Deeshma began her teaching career as a Tutor in the Department of Pathology at K. S. Hegde Medical Academy, Mangalore. She then advanced to the role of Assistant Professor at MES Medical College, Perinthalmanna, where she gained extensive experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as diagnostic pathology. In 2014, she joined our institution as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology.
Through her dedication, leadership, and academic excellence, she was subsequently promoted to the position of Professor. In her current role, she actively contributes to teaching, departmental administration, and academic mentoring, while continuing to inspire students and colleagues alike with her enthusiasm and multifaceted talents.
